Mary Alice Sims (Polly) November 1, 1931-May 6, 2025

Mrs. Polly passed away May 6, 2025 at the age of 93 in Richmond Hill, Ga. She was born in Udine, Ga and resided in Richmond Hill (The Bottom) for many years.

Mrs. Polly worked in many restaurants in Richmond Hill, Pig-A-Dilly, Holiday Inn, Hill Billiards, and Southern Image, to name a few. She was a member of the Richmond Hill Methodist church for many years where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Polly's legacy was her love of life, kind heart, love for sports, and her wit. She was known for never meeting a stranger. She loved playing bingo, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Kansas City Chiefs, especially Patrick Mahomes.

She was a loving wife and mother. She played an important role in many children's lives in Richmond Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Armond (Pee Wee) Sims, her parents Estus and Emma Coursey, three brothers Willis, Wallace, and Wilton, and one sister Evelyn.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Sims (Roy) and Linda St. Lawrence, her grand daughters, Shawn Sikes and Stevie St. Lawrence, her great grandchildren, Ashley Sikes, Kelly Sikes, Marlie Stineman and James Ennis, and her great great grandchildren, Brayden Sikes, Deonte Brown, Destiny Suttles, Jackson Parmer, Amelia Parmer, her sister Jean Johnson (Norman) and her brother Waldon Coursey (Monarie) and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at Richmond Hill Funeral Home on Friday May 9 at 12:00. Pallbearers are Ronnie Chester, Danny Coursey, Roy Crosby, John NeSmith, Jim Blackburn and Tim Peterson.
