Marty Allen Mittleman passed away on January 26, 2025 in Savannah GA. He was the first born son of Jerrie Anton Herman and Marshall Mittleman. Marty was born on August 4, 1970 in Warren, Michigan. Marty was a father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by parents Marshall and Jerrie, his brother Matthew and family; his children Gage, Andy, and Michelle; fiancée Lysa Warren; her children Jenna & Emma and ex-wife Alexandra Mittleman.

After retiring from the United States Army, Marty attended South University to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. He worked at Cora Physical Therapy for 2 years. He attended services at Compassion Christian Church with his fiancée Lysa Warren.

Outside of work and other activities, Marty enjoyed spending his free time riding his Harley motorcycle he called "The Hog." Some of his favorite rides were with his daughter Michelle. As well as listening to his favorite Metal & Rock music. And of course playing air guitar. He will be remembered for the love he had for his time on the Harley, his dancing breaks anytime he heard Thunderstruck by AC/DC and the love he had for the beach.

Marty proudly served in the Marine Corp for 4 years (1988-1992) and in the United States Army for 22 years (1994-2016). He retired as an E-8 Master Sergeant. He has received many achievements from the Marines & Army such as the Rifle Expert Badge, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Navy/Marine Combat Action Ribbon, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

The Memorial service will be held on February 13, 2025 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to service at 8901 Ford Ave, Richmond Hill, GA.
