It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Anne Appleby Arnsdorff on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the age of 72.  Anne was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister known for her powerful spirit, gentle heart and radiant love for all who knew her.

Anne was born in Vidalia, Georgia on July 21,1953 to William Fletcher Appleby and Doris Elizabeth Bryan Appleby.
Her life was defined by her deep love and devotion to her family and compassion and love for all animals, especially cats. She loved the beach, fishing and later in life crocheting for animal shelters and Project Linus.  A true "sun worshiper", she loved going to the beach and spending all day "soaking up the sun's warmth", as she would say. An avid fisher-woman , she loved fishing with her husband in Newell's Creek and surrounding waterways in Richmond Hill, every weekend if possible. Anne had a way of seeing beauty in all things, and that sense of wonder extended to the way she lived her life to the very end. She was a strong-willed and determined woman who never gave up on anyone or anything in life.

Above all, Anne was more than a grandmother "Nana", she was a devoted "second mother" to her only granddaughter, Zizi. Their bond was cherished by all who witnessed it.  She loved her granddaughter with an open-hearted devotion that felt parental in every way.  Their relationship was one of the most beautiful expressions of her generous spirit and her love.

May we remember Anne for her nurturing care, her love for nature, and the beautiful bond she shared with her granddaughter - a relationship rooted in love, joy, and an unwaivering devotion that will forever inspire us all.

She is survived by her loving and deeply devoted husband of 54 years, Steven Louis Arnsdorff, her daughter Stephanie A. Maxheimer (Stephen), her precious "second daughter" Zizi Maxheimer all of Richmond Hill, Georgia; her dear sister Beth Hester (Gary) of Screven, Georgia; her brother William "Bill" Appleby (Cassie) of McKinney, Texas; a nephew William Kyle Jones (Joni) of Tega Cay, South Carolina and her cherished cat Daisy Belle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Fletcher Appleby and Doris Elizabeth Bryan Appleby, her infant son Michael Steven Arnsdorff, her dearest nephew Christopher E. Hester and her youngest sister Kathy Lynn Jones.
