Marie Turner Leggett, age 94, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Marie was born in Alma, GA.  She lived most of her life in Richmond Hill.  She had worked as a waitress and hostess at many area restaurants and hotels.  She was a member of Richmond Hill United Methodist Church.

Marie loved gardening and sewing.  She could sew, crochet, and knit just about anything.  She had a passion for cooking and feeding her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leggett; two sons, Donny and Tommy Leggett.

Marie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Peggy Collins of Richmond Hill; grandchildren, Jessica Small; Amy Johnson, Melisa Leggett, Kenny Leggett, and Jeffery Leggett; and 7 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Graveside committal service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel in Alma, GA.
