Lillian Thornton Graham (1933-2020) died on August 3, 2020. She was surrounded by family
and friends as she passed peacefully. She will be greatly missed.
She was born in 1933 in Folsom, KY, and graduated from Holmes High School. She and her
husband of more than sixty years settled in Atlanta, GA, for almost forty years. Lil worked for
many successful years with the Southern Council of Optometrists (SECO International.) She and
her husband later moved to Richmond Hill, GA. She moved to Station Exchange Senior Care
three years ago after the death of her beloved husband, Bob Graham. Everyone at Station
Exchange treated her and her loved ones like family.
She is survived by her sister, Charlene Rogers, of Corinth, KY; her brother, David Thornton and
his wife, (Nancy) of Cary, NC; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Newson and her husband (Ruey), of
Erlanger, KY. She is also survived by her two daughters, Pamela Burkhalter and her husband,
Bob Meloche; and Julie Chapman and her husband, Ralph Chapman, Jr. She is survived by
many grandchildren: Sutton, Graham Burkhalter and his wife (Solyee), Ashley and her husband
(Adam), Graham Skinner and his wife (Erin), Chap and his wife (Kristen), Blaine, Braden, and
Bernadette and her husband (Damon.) She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Andrea,
Griffin, Lyndon, Carrigan, Ramsey, Miller, Noble, and Andie. Her third daughter, Andrea
Graham Skinner, predeceased her.
