Lamar O. Patrick, age 79, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Lamar was born in Ashland, KY.  He was a retired Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force having served twenty years and during the Vietnam War.  Lamar then worked for Gulfstream Aerospace as a Technical Writer where he retired after 20 years of service.  In his retirement he enjoyed church work, golf, and fishing.

Lamar was a member of First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and was active in Outreach Ministries.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Patrick of Richmond Hill; his daughter, Shannon Lynn Patrick of Richmond Hill; his sons, Mitchell L. Patrick of Leesville, SC, and Bryan C. Patrick of Palm Bay, FL.; his sister, Dreama Magee (Bill) of Conneaut Lake, PA; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
