Kristi Kicklighter-Lynes, age 50, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.

Kristi was born in Austin, Texas, the youngest of Cecil and Dot Kicklighter's five children. After a life of service in the United States Air Force, the Kicklighters settled in Hinesville, GA where Kristi attended elementary, middle and high school. She was a 1987 graduate of Bradwell Institute. As an honor roll student elected to the Homecoming Court and voted "Most Attractive" by her senior class, she was warm and kind, beautiful and smart. After high school, she attended the University of Georgia and earned a degree in finance from the Terry College of Business.

Soon after graduating from college, Kristi was seriously injured as a passenger in a vehicle hit by a drunk driver.  While her devoted family rallied around her and helped her recover, this one event resulted in a series of surgeries and related complications that would impact the rest of her life.  Kristi refused to give in despite these setbacks.

She built a long successful career in radio and television advertising. She got her start at WSAV and later worked at KIX 96.5 and WGSA where she met many of her closest friends who became like family. She had recently started a new venture in residential real estate, where she could apply her honesty, authenticity and considerable good taste with her grasp of numbers to help people make some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

Kristi was married to the love of her life, Harold Lynes, and helped raise his three children. They shared a love most people will never know.  Family was the most important thing in Kristi's life and she demonstrated that every single day.  It wasn't just words; family was the center of her world.

She was a fiercely loyal person with the biggest heart and a sage practitioner of tough love. She learned that from her mother. She was a second mom and aunt to many. Her home was always open to those she loved. She provided sanctuary to family, friends and more than a few animals over the years.

Kristi is survived by her husband, Harold Lynes of Savannah; her children, Alexis Lynes of Camarillo, CA, Trey Lynes of Savannah, and Nick Lynes of Richmond Hill; her parents, Cecil and Dot Kicklighter of Richmond Hill; her sisters, Vicki Ross of Hilton Head and Tina Barratta of Claxton; her brothers, John Kicklighter of Orlando, and David Kicklighter of Rincon.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, at the Dorchester Civic Center, 1804 Islands Highway, Midway, Georgia .
