Julius Andrew Menzoff, Jr., age 74, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024.

Julius was born in Detroit, MI.  During his military career he lived in a number of different cities including Fort Worth, TX and Ft. Sill, OK, making the last 20 years in Richmond Hill his home.

He retired with the rank of Major after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army.  Julius received his PhD and taught History at Armstrong Atlantic University.  He loved music, reading, and writing.  He continued his military studies even after retirement.

The biggest joy of his life was 40 years of marriage to his best friend, partner, and wife, Lee.  Julius was a wonderful father and loving grandfather.

Julius is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lee Birdsong Menzoff; his daughter, Melissa Miller (Kevin); a sister, Marguerite Holm (Paul); and two grandchildren, Michael Ryan Miller and Madelyn Claire Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will full military honors will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Georgia Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA.
