Juliana TePaske Garrett, age 78, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Juliana was born in Sioux Center, Iowa to the late  Adelphous and Henrietta TePaske.  She had lived in Powhatan, VA for many years before moving to Richmond Hill two years ago.

Juliana was a retired Ophthalmologist Technician with the Virginia Eye Institute.  She was on the board of Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center for Veterans.  She was a member of the May Memorial Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

She was a swim coach for the Powhatan YMCA for many years.  Juliana enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She was very artistic.

Juliana is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Jeffrey Spoon, David Garrett, and Jack Carter; and her son, Benjamin Carter.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Reed (Raymond); a brother, Judson R. TePaske (Susan); and her grandchildren, Alexis Reed, Kyleigh Reed, Madison Carter, and Hannah Carter.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Virginia.
