Joyce B. Mixon, age 77, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Joyce was born in Savannah. She has lived in Richmond Hill her entire life.

Joyce loved to prepare home cooked meals.  She was a dedicated mother and homemaker.  She loved keeping up with her granddaughters and talking on the phone.

Joyce worked earlier in life at Keller's Flea Market, but shrimping with her husband was her life.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, G.C. Mixon and her parents, William "Bill" Bashlor and Estelle Bashlor.

She is survived by her son; Dwaine Mixon of Richmond Hill; sisters, Miriam Strickland (Don), Brenda Gail Beasley, and Diane Turner all of Richmond Hill; her brothers, Billy Bashlor (Linda) and Stevie D. Bashlor both of Richmond Hill; her grandchildren, Karmin MacMillan (Patrick) and Kristin Pratt (Jordan); her great-grandchildren, Kynlee MacMillan, Granger Pratt, and Lakelyn Pratt.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2021 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with burial in the Richmond Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery.
