Our family is navigating the weight of the loss of Joshua Johnson Sr. Josh was born on July 9, 1990, in Decatur, Illinois. Sadly, he passed away on March 1st , 2026, in Reidsville, GA.

Family was everything to Josh. He was a gifted cook who brought a little spice to many tables at our family gatherings. He was always up for a good game of spades, a friendly, albeit lively game of spoons, or a quiet movie night with his boys.

Joshua was preceded in death by his father: John Johnson, Aunt Margie, and Uncle Jodie (Cat). Left to mourn him are his 2 boys Joshua Johnson Jr, Jaxon Johnson, and his mother Janet Johnson, brothers: Jalen Johnson (Hailey), John C Johnson, Brandon Johnson (Chantal), Robert Gerdes, Jeremy Gerdes (Shannon), Jonathan Gerdes (Christie), and sister Susan Chambers (Ray), Aunt Barb (Jerry), Aunt Judith, Uncle Damien, Uncle Tyrone (Tamika) and Uncle Donald. Nieces: Jurnei, Elissa, Hannah, Lakiyah, Brianna, Emma and his Jerzey girl. Nephews: Christian, Jonny, Decklan, Jacob, Peyton, Cameron and Julian. Josh is also survived by a host of cousins and great nieces and nephews whom he cared for deeply.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 16th, 2026 at New Life Church, 16252 GA-144, Richmond Hill, GA 31324.
