Joseph Denmark, age 86, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at Memorial University Medical Center.

Joseph was born in Savannah, GA. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a painter.  He loved music and playing his guitar.  Joseph was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joleen Denmark; daughters, Cindy and Debra Denmark; son, Ronnie Denmark; brothers, David Denmark and Edward Denmark; and a grandson, Freddie Wise.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Newman (Steve); sons, Joe Denmark and Terry Sauerland (Jessica); sister, Patricia Scott (Ernest); 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

God saw him getting tired and a cure was not to be.

So he put his arms around him and whispered "cometo me".

with tearful eyes we watched him suffer, and saw him slowly fade away.  Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove, he only takes the best.

The family will have a visitation from 10 am to 12 pm, Friday, September 3, 2021 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery at 1 pm.

Masks are required at all times.
