Jose William Batista, age 76, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Jose was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico.  He lived many years in Florida prior to moving to Richmond Hill 2 years ago.

Jose was a retired welder for Electric Boat in Groton, CT.  He liked playing basketball, baseball.  He liked car racing and really enjoyed watching western movies.

He was preceded in death by a son, Rick Velez.

Jose is survived by his wife, Aida L. Baez Batista of Richmond Hill; his children, Jose Batista, Jr (Lisa) of New York, Orlando Batista (April) of Cincinnati, and Rolando Batista of New Jersey; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

It was Jose's wishes that his body be cremated and no services held.
