In Loving Memory of Jodi Marie (Auchtung) Heimermann

Jodi Marie (Auchtung) Heimermann passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2025, surrounded by her family, after many years of navigating cancer with dignity, faith, and resilience. She was 49 years old. Jodi is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, whose promises carried her through every step of her journey.

Born on October 24, 1975, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Jodi was the second daughter of Mark and Jane Auchtung. From a young age, her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and heart for others shone brightly. Affectionately known as JoJo, Josephine, Yoda, DoDo, MiMi and Mama, Jodi had the biggest and kindest heart. She consistently thought of others before herself. Her love for baking and cooking became a ministry in itself-blessing countless people through delicious meals and thoughtful treats, all prepared with love.

Jodi's journey with cancer was nothing short of inspirational. Even through the trials of treatment and uncertainty, she maintained her sweet disposition, sharp wit, and steadfast faith. A woman of few words, her remarks were always poignant—and often hilariously timed. Her quiet demeanor masked a quick and clever sense of humor, and her selfless nature shone in every aspect of her life. She never sought the spotlight and found joy in celebrating the successes of others.

Since 2015, Jodi faithfully served at New Life Church in Midway, Georgia, using her gifts to bless and lead others. Whether it was baking for church events, leading Bible studies, mentoring women, or simply offering a listening ear, her impact was profound and lasting. Even in the midst of her illness, she continued to serve with grace, humility, and dedication.

Jodi leaves behind a family who adored her and carry with them countless treasured memories. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Dennis Heimermann; her beloved children, Samuel Mark and Emma Faith; her daughters-by-marriage, Shayla Britton and Felicia (Jon) Ehley; and her cherished grandchildren, Coy, Anastasia, and Demitrius. She is also survived by her parents, Mark and Jane Auchtung; her sisters, Tera (Loran) Montgomery, Cheri (Matt) Pfeiffer, and Heidi (Adam) Holte; and her nieces and nephews—Katy, Sophie, Ankica, Lillian, Charlie, and Jane. She will also be lovingly remembered by her maternal grandmother and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, and her
mother-in-law and father-in-law.
