Jim Jeffery Ray, 69, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2025.

Born in Ludowici, Georgia, on September 17, 1955, Jim lived a life defined by hard work, deep love for his family. For the past five years, he called Richmond Hill home. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church and attended Compassion Christian Church.

Jim was an expert in drywalling and flooring. He worked for Hinesville Carpet for over 20 years. A true jack of all trades, there was little Jim couldn't fix.

Jim enjoyed to fish and hunt and had a deep love for cooking and eating. Above all, he loved his family fiercely. His heart belonged to Sandy, and he adored his children and grandchildren with a love that knew no limits.

Jim is survived by his five children: Victoria Murphy, Crystal Ray Edmonds, Jade Allen, Dylon Fowler, and Tyler Allen; his brothers Elbert Ray and Doug Ray; his sisters Dorita Casey, Nina Ray, and Liz Grizzard; and a host of nieces, nephews, and 16 beloved grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday July 9, 2025 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Funeral Services will be Thursday July 10, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
