Jane Wimbish Long, age 66, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.

Jane was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Glady and William (Bill) Wimbish.  She spent most of her youth in Atlanta and graduated from the University of Georgia and DeKalb College Nursing School.

Jane lived most of her life in Metter.  She was a retired Registered Nurse and was a member of the Matter United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed her family and loved photography, painting, flowers, Birthday parties, and decorating for any holiday.

Jane is survived by her husband of 42 years, Chappell Long; her children, Jennifer (Derek) Price of Marietta, Stephanie Long of Metter, Lynette Long (Jonathan Gordy) of Sylvania; her brother, Daniel Wimbish of Atlanta; her sister, Mary Wimbish of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Caroline and Addison Price.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Metter United Methodist Church with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to give to the Metter United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

All flower deliveries must be made to the Metter United Methodist Church.
