James William Ford, 82 passed from this world to his heavenly home Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He spent his final days at his home in Savannah, Ga. surrounded by his family with lots of love and care. He passed peacefully in his beloved Evelyn's arms as he got a glimpse of heaven.

James was born in Caraway, Arkansas and was preceded in death by his Mother Dortha Mae Livingston, his Father Maxie Lee Ford, and Brother Clyde Robert Myers. Survived by his sister, Maxine Ford Wallace.

He was in the Airforce when he met the love of his life, his gem, his angel Evelyn Teresa Cowart Ford. They enjoyed 62 wonderful years together in this world and look forward to many more when they are together again. James has one infant daughter that he joined in heaven, Jennifer Renee Ford.  He has loving daughters and son in laws who stayed by his side as he drifted into eternity; Linda Ford Walker, Teresa and Wayne Lawler, Regina and Tony Killian, Beth and Johnny Webb, Andrea and Jay Monroe, and Holly Ford and Joey Cochran. James enjoyed being present for the births and lives of all of his 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was a jokester and loved to play. He loved God, his family, building (anything), being outside in his sheds, eating, and fishing. He worked very hard to ensure his family had everything they needed financially, physically, and spiritually. He will be missed by many other family members and friends that he has touched in this life. We will hear you in every meaningful moment and are forever in our hearts.
