Rev. Dr. James V. Farmer, age 68, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his residence.

Dr. Farmer was born in Charleston, WV. He lived in Garden City for a number of years before making his home in Richmond Hill 7 years ago.  James has been preaching the Word of God since he was 6 years old. He was the current pastor at New Vision Church in Rincon and was a lifelong Evangelist.

James was a nurturing, loving person who never met a stranger. He enjoyed singing and playing different instruments.

He was preceded in death by his son, J. Anthony Farmer.

Dr. James Farmer is survived by his loving wife, Judy Farmer of Richmond Hill; his daughters, Tabatha Stevens and Kimberly Suttkus; his sisters, Carolyn Goodnight, Mary Terry, and Naomi Ferguson; his brother, Lee Farmer; his grandchildren, Nicholas Pushic (Kristin), Kailey Suttkus, Joshua Farmer, and Brandon Farmer; his great-grandchildren, McKenzie Baer, Gavyn Baer, Jeremiah Anthony Pushic, and Kody Farmer.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Rincon Cemetery.
