1933 – 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of James Dore announces his passing at St. Joseph/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia on February 27, 2018. James will be forever remembered by his wife, Karen, and loving children and grandchildren.

James was born and raised in Montreal, QC. He lived the majority of his life in Mississauga, ON, where he ran his own window and door consulting business.  His summers were spent between ball fields; coaching his daughters' softball teams, and the family's cottage in Sauble Beach, ON.  His love of the lake led him to retire in Sarnia, ON.

He loved his family and was proud of their accomplishments. Although not very technology savvy, he enjoyed following his loved ones' daily posts on Facebook and video calling with his grandchildren.

He will be terribly missed, and his loved ones will think of him often when there is a beautiful sunset, a CFL football game, or a fresh batch of homemade cookies.

Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of the Neuro ICU at St. Joseph/Candler Hospital for their support, compassion and professionalism during his final days.

For those who wish, donations in James memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada (www.heartandstroke.ca) or a charity of the donor's choice. Flowers may be sent directly to St. Benedict's Church in Sarnia, ON.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Benedict's Church in Sarnia, ON from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow Mass in the Church Hall.
