James Franklin Clark, age 83, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 after a very short illness.

James was born in Ways Station, GA.  He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.  James was a retired Insurance Agent having worked 46 years and he was a Bryan County School bus driver for 22 years.

James was an Elder for 42 years and was baptised as one of Jehovah's Witness in 1975.  He liked to play the guitar, sing and he loved fried flounder.  He was an avid reader and liked to reminisce on his family lineage.  He liked to play softball in his younger years and enjoyed going on family trips.

James is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stephen; and a sister, Judith.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly Blount Clark; children, James Jr., Melissa, Angela, and Ashley; his brothers, Eugene Clark, Julian Clark, Rufus Clark;  sisters, Jeannette Findley and Voncile;  one grandchild, Stephen Chase Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with Elder Larry Elliott officiating.
