James Milton "Mickey" Brinson passed away on June 30, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease at home surrounded by family.

He was a proud employee of Savannah Sugar Refinery for 38 years before enjoying 32 years of retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing and time spent with family and friends.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Estelle Brinson, his brother Joe and his son Glynn.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane Brinson, his children, Stacey (John) of Richmond Hill, Daryle (Dianne) of Brunswick, and Barbie (Mike) of Youngsville, NC and his grandchildren, Caleb Sexton, Todd Brinson, Buddy Brinson, Mandy Hubbard, Jenna Horton, Garrett Jones, Emily Bell and Erin Hill. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all that knew and loved him.

Active pallbearers will be Daryle Brinson, Buddy Brinson, Todd Brinson, John Sexton, Garrett Jones and Caleb Sexton.

The family wishes to express our appreciation to Savannah Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Mickey for the last 1 1/2 years.

Graveside services will be held Thursday July 3, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
