Jackie Melinda Bush entered into eternal rest and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, following a long and extended illness.

Jackie was born in Savannah, Georgia. She later resided in Richmond Hill, Georgia, and made her final home in Pooler, Georgia.

Jackie honorably served her country in the United States Army for eight years. After her military service, she pursued a career as a Surgical Technologist, faithfully serving at Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, where she cared for countless patients with skill, compassion, and dedication. She later continued her life of service as a school bus driver with the Bryan County School System, where she faithfully served for nine years.

Above all, Jackie loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a faithful and devoted member of Restoration Worship Center in Richmond Hill, Georgia, where she joyfully served as a Sunday School teacher. She left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her and never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ or fellowship with others about His goodness. Her unwavering faith, kind spirit, and servant's heart will forever be remembered.

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sarah Ann Smith-Bush, and her two brothers, Zachary Bush and Domonick Bush.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving daughter, Joy Owens of Richmond Hill, Georgia; her father, Jack Bush of Richmond Hill, Georgia; her siblings, Deanna (Kenneth) Roebuck of Hinesville, Georgia, Tyrone Bush of Richmond Hill ;Georgia Moneak King; Savannah, Ga Shaquana King; Atlanta, Georgia Octavia Bush;  Savannah, Georgia Latoya King; Hinesville, Georgia Domonique (Ebony) Bush of Hinesville, Georgia, and Krystal Bush of Savannah, Georgia; her loving nephew-son, Trenton Bush; her cherished granddaughter, Zuri Coleman of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Visitation will be held at Richmond Hill Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A Home Going Celebration will be held at Restoration Worship Center on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 2 p.m.

Burial will will follow in the Bryan Neck Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Repass will be held at Restoration Worship Center.
