Jack F. Zellner, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024 with his family in Savannah, Georgia. He was born on October 4, 1937 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Robert E. Zellner and Ruth T. Zellner. He married his wife of 66 years, Betty J. Zellner on November 15, 1958 in Hamilton, Ohio and raised two children, Greg A. Zellner and the late Leslie L. Zellner. Jack graduated from Hamilton High School in 1955 and retired from Nationwide Insurance in 1999. After retirement, he and Betty moved to Richmond Hill, Georgia to be closer to their son, daughter in law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack spent a majority of his time gardening, volunteering at their church, Church of the Hill, and being a loving and doting grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty; his son Greg (Kimber) Zellner; his grandchildren, Anna (Robert) Sizemore, Jennifer Zellner, Bryan (Courtney) Zellner, and Jonathan Zellner; and his great grandchildren, Kenley Rae Sizemore, Mackenzie Morris, Eloise Sizemore, Benjamin Sizemore and Landry Noble; sister, Barbara (Mitch) Flannery; brother, Rick (Paula) Zellner; sister in law, Barbara Zellner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Leslie Zellner; his parents Robert and Ruth Zellner; and his brother Robert Zellner.

Jack was a kind and thoughtful man, known for his gentle spirit and friendly nature. He had an extraordinary ability to reach people in a meaningful and positive way.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Church of the Hill in Richmond Hill, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's memory to The Church of the Hill's Children's Program.
