Irma Jones Humphrey, 95, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021.

Born August 25, 1926 in Savannah, and resided in Keller, GA all of her life.  A lifetime resident of Richmond Hill for all her 95 years, Irma was a local legend and the source for any historical information big or small that took place in her community. Her door was always open and there was always a seat at her kitchen table and she would make you whatever your heart desired. A woman that always saw the good in everyone, she loved nothing more than sitting and sharing stories and light hearted local gossip with all those that were near and dear to her.

Irma was a faithful member of Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church for 95 years where she served as an elder which she was beyond honored to be given that title.

After raising her 8 children, some of her happiest memories were the 13 years she worked with the Sommers Company at El Cheapo in Richmond Hill.

Irma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jessie Smith; husbands, William Jones and Ed Humphrey; brothers, J.A. Smith and Curtis Smith; a sister, Evelyn Moore; a son, Jimmy Jones; and a grandson, Steve Parrish.

She is survived by her children, Richard and Jeannette Jones, Roger and Maryann Jones, Gary Jones, Diane and Mickey Brinson, Charles and Kathy Jones, Kenny and Dana Jones, Cookie and Keith Blocker; a sister, Mary Rucker; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1pm-3pm at Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

Graveside Funeral services will follow at 3pm at Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
