Irene Jahoda-Murphy of Richmond Hill passed away March 23, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center. She was a loving mother, sister and wife.

Irene was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States at a young age. She was married to the late Kenneth Murphy II.

Words used to describe Irene include: Giving, Patient and Forgiving. She was a fighter when it came to her health and dealt with her struggles with grace and strength.

Miss Irene worked at many jobs throughout her life and retired after working for Home Depot in the clerical department.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, and her daughter Kimberly Rose Murphy.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Murphy III; brother, Gene Jahoda; Sisters, Helen Jahoda-Mulvey and Susanna Schmit-Herczeg; grandchildren, Robert Murphy, Kenneth Murphy IV and Emmett Murphy.

She will be remembered as a second mother to her nephew, Robert, and will be missed by all her nephews and nieces, including Stephen, Erika, Bryan and Heather, as well as her extended Murphy family.

The family will celebrate her memory at a later date in her son's home of New Jersey.
