Dr. Hilda Irizarry-Rodriguez, age 54, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer.

Hilda has made her home in Richmond Hill for the past 5 years.  She lived in Puerto Rico for many years.  Her calling in life was to help other people.  She worked as a Pediatrician at Winn Army Hospital on Fort Stewart.

Hilda was one of a kind.  She battled through her cancer so she could spend a little more time with her daughters.  She loved cooking and gardening.  She even learned how to drive a boat.  Hilda was always looking for her next adventure.

She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church where she volunteered  and was a Catechist.

Hilda was preceded in death by her sister, Magdalena Irizarry.

She is survived by her daughters, Amanda Hernandez (Alberto) and Maria Del Mar Malave-Irizarry; her mother, Hilda Rodriguez; her father, Sigfredo Irizarry; a sister, Rosie Perez; and a brother, Sigfredo Armando Irizarry.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
