Herbert M. Reed, age 83, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at Hospice Savannah.

He was born in Spokane, Washington.  He lived in El Paso, TX and Germany before moving to Fleming in 1976.

Herbert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the U.S. Army.  He was a truck driver and newspaper deliveryman.  He enjoyed gardening and fishing.  He liked to shoot in his early years.  Herbert loved Disney World and he loved his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his Wife, Sue Reed, his parents and his brothers.

Herbert is survived by his son, Jeff Reed (Rhonday) of Fleming; a daughter, Cindy Morse of Jesup; his grandchildren, Melinda Ritchie, Jessica Farrell (Josh), Crystal Hanifen (Joe), Thomas Reed, and Jonathon Reed (Kaitlyn); and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Fleming Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
