Helen G. Allen, age 92, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Candler Hospital in Savannah.

Helen was born in Uhrichsville, OH.  She lived most of her life in Pittsburgh, PA but spent a number of years in Winter Haven, FL before moving to Richmond Hill 17 years ago.

She worked as an accountant while living in Pittsburgh.  Helen was a member of Compassion Christian Church.  She was a dedicated volunteer at Compassion for the last 10 years.

Helen loved to knit and crochet.  She liked to play bridge, dominos, and puzzles.  Crossword puzzles were her favorite.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Allen and a son, Robert Daniel Allen.

Helen is survived by her two sons, Skip Allen (Susan) of Pittsburgh and Colin Allen (Audrey) of Richmond Hill; her daughter-in-law, Laurie Allen of Pittsburgh; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Adult Ministries Building at Compassion Christian Church, 55 Al Henderson Blvd., Savannah, GA 31419.  The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Senior's Ministry at Compassion Christian Church.

Flowers should be delivered to the church.
