Heike Uyeda, 59, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 1, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah Georgia with her loving husband Jonathan by her side .

She was born in the German town of Illingen in the Saarland Region to Rinehart and Rosarita Skupin.

Heike met her husband Jonathan while he was in the Army stationed in Germany. They were happily married on May 26, 1989  and moved to the United States in July 1989. October 1990 their son Dominic was born. After living in multiple states, they moved their family to Richmond Hill,Ga in 2003 and have resided here ever since.

Heike owned her own cleaning business, had a passion for gardening, cooking, loved the beach and the outdoors, going boating with her husband, sitting outside and speaking to everyone that walked bye and definitely enjoyed her weekly hang outs with her girlfriends and her daily phone calls with her mom in Germany. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her family, friends and animals. She loved her animals so much she became a foster parent for One Love Animal Rescue.

There was nothing more she wanted than to be the greatest Oma to her three grandchildren whom she loved and adored. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jonathan Uyeda; son, Dominic Uyeda and his wife Ciera three grandchildren, Liam, Alaina and Addison, and mother Rosarita and brother Burkhard in Germany.

She was preceded in death by her father Rinehart Skupin

It was Heike's wish to be cremated and half of her ashes to be sent back to Germany for her funeral services.
