Harriett Elizabeth Woodcock, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026.

Harriett was born on October 21, 1935, in Savannah, Georgia. She lived the past 32 years in Richmond Hill, where she was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill. Earlier in life, she grew up attending Calvary Baptist Church in Savannah, where she was active in the church choir and developed a lifelong love of music and worship.

A graduate of Brewton-Parker College, Harriett worked for several years at Sears and later served as a legal secretary for Grant Washington, and retired as a secretary for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Throughout her career, she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and warm spirit.

Harriett enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, and attending church social events. She cherished her faith, her church family, and the many friendships she formed over the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Woodcock, and her sons, Michael Woodcock and Morgan Woodcock.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Hazel Jones (Ray); nephews, Tracy Chance (Nancy), Ronnie Chance (Peggy), Cary Smith (Page), and Joey Jones (Holly); and her niece, Deborah Harris (Michael), along with several extended family members and friends who will remember her with love.

Harriett will be remembered for her kind heart, strong faith, and the joy she found in music, fellowship, and family. Her life was a blessing to those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill on Monday, March 9, at 1:30 pm with visitation from 12:30 to 1:30.

Internment following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, GA.
