Harley Donald Combs, 78, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and family.

Born on March 16, 1948, in Akron, Ohio, Harley was the son of Harley Dow Combs and Doris Jean Seaback Combs. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant. During his military service, he earned several commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.

A devoted Christian, Harley lived his life guided by faith, integrity, and a deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, loyalty, and steady presence touched the lives of many. His faith was evident through his participation in mission trips and his years of teaching Sunday school classes for both children and adults.

Following his military service, Harley began a 44-year career with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, where he held sales, marketing, and account management positions across the country. His career took him from Ohio to Texas, Tennessee, Nebraska, and back to Tennessee, while also providing opportunities to travel throughout the world. Through corporate transitions and changing roles, Harley remained dedicated to his profession and the customers he served, retiring in December 2020 after more than four decades of service.

Harley was preceded in death by his father, Harley Dow Combs; his mother, Doris Jean Seaback Combs; and his former wife, Susan Combs, who passed away on June 8, 2020.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Combs; his son, Jeff Combs and wife Kayla; his grandsons, Braydon Combs and Carter Combs; his daughter, Jennifer Combs; his stepdaughters, Lisa Reeves and husband Shawn Reeves, and Amy Blush; his sisters, Sandy Lindsey and Janice Jones; his half-sister, Dixie Darby and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

A celebration of Harley's life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior the the service.  A luncheon will follow at the Richmond Hill City Center.

Harley's legacy of faith, service, love, and devotion to family will continue through the lives of those who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
