Gladys Cribbs Thompson, 93, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

Gladys was born in Clyde, GA.  She lived most of her life in Richmond Hill.  She was a homemaker and was the oldest continuous member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Gladys liked to cook. She loved fishing and could make her own cast nets.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J. R. "Sharpe" Thompson; a sister, Florence Davis; two brothers, Leslie Cribbs and J.C. Cribbs.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Sandra Butler (Gerald) of Richmond Hill; her son, Richard Thompson (Mary Lee) of Richmond Hill; a half sister, Sherry Harmon of Richmond Hill; her grandchildren, Paul Thompson (Jennifer), John Thompson (Katie), Danny Butler (Christy Rabbitt), Becky Butler, and Anthony Butler; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Corinth Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
