Gary Adrian Filyaw passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Gary was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. He proudly served his country for 3 years in the U.S. Air
Force before continuing his military career with the U.S Army, retiring as a Sergeant First Class in
Richmond Hill, Ga.

Gary loved his kids and family with all his heart. He enjoyed fishing, reading and sports. Especially the
Cleveland Browns. He was a Christian who lived his life wanting to help and serve others.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Ray "Bobby" Filyaw.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Kuzma-Filyaw; his sons, Jacob Filyaw, Samuel Filyaw, and Caleb Filyaw;
his mother, Susan Filyaw; his sisters, Susan Leach (Ron) and Rose Southard; and other family
members.

Private funeral services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
