Franklin D. Morgan passed on April 26 th , 2026 at 5PM. He was born October 9 th , 1936 in Hanover, WV where he attended local schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in October 1953 at age 17. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He served for 24 years with assignments
in Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Hawaii, and Germany achieving multiple awards to include bronze star. He retired on April 1 st , 1978 with the rank of Master Sergeant. After retirement, he was employed by the U.S. government at Fort Stewart, GA and retired from there after 20 years of service. He later worked in property management in Richmond Hill for a number of years.

Frank was a member of Chevis Oaks Baptist Church. He led the adult men's Sunday school class. He enjoyed studying Bible History and loved sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by wife Kathryn Morgan, son, Anthony Lynn Morgan, s/son Ricky Bashlor, Grandchildren, Amanda, Philip, Tony, Michael, Brittany, Christopher and 12 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA.
