Evelene "Evelyn" Faye Smith, 69, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025. Born on May 13, 1956, in Baltimore City, Maryland, Evelyn brought warmth, laughter, and kindness into the lives of everyone she met.

Evelyn had a passion for life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking for her family, spending time with loved ones, gardening, fishing, going to the beach, and enjoying meals at outdoor restaurants. Her generous spirit and joyful heart created cherished memories for those who knew her best.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Roy Sweeney and Juanita Cleo Kincaid; her husband, Larry N. Neal; her son, Christopher Glen Marsh; her brother, William Roy Sweeney Jr.; and her sisters Betty Cook, Carol Nesmith, and Kathy Daniel.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Christina Marsh Taylor (Robby); her son, Roger Meadows II; her sisters, Debbie Covey and Sharon Sweeney; her brother, Stanley Sweeney (Tammy); five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., with services beginning at 12:00 P.M.

Evelyn will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love, family, and resilience lives on in all who were blessed to know her.
