Eugene "Jack" James Lanier, Jr., passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Hospice Savannah.

Jack was born and raised in Savannah.  He lived in Midway for a number of years before moving to Richmond Hill 25 years ago.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran having served in the Vietnam War.  He retired as Maintenance Manager for Savannah Country Day School.  After his retirement, he worked for ACE Hardware until his health failed him.   Jack was a member of First Baptist Church Richmond Hill.

He enjoyed woodworking and loved reminiscing about the war.

Jack is survived by his wife, Anne F. Ziehl; two daughters, Autumn "Star" Lanier and Tobey Woods; two step-daughters, Debi Hagan and Sandy Brinkley (Thomas); two sisters; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

It was Jack's wishes that no services be held.
