Eric Patterson Cooper, age 62, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at his residence.

Eric was born in Iuka, MS.  He has lived in Richmond Hill for the past 36 years and prior to this he lived in Midway.

He had worked as Maintenance Supervisor for BASF and EMD.  Eric was a member of Waterfront Church and he was past president of the Bryan County Recreation Department for over 20 years.

Eric was a former volunteer fireman, ambulance driver, and EMT in Garden City.  He loved his Super B Dodge Challenger car and he enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Cooper, Amber Lemus (Andy), and Michael Cooper (Hannah); his sister, Evette Layne; his grandchildren, Keegan, Dylan, Kanyon, Logan, Briar, Bear, and Buck; his nephew, Ryan Layne; and his dog, Dixie.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eric's name to a charity of your choice.
