Elsie Midkiff, age 94, went to be with the Lord, Monday, July 14, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Elsie was born March 15, 1931 in Ranger, WV, daughter of the late Roy and Gladys Fulks.

Elsie was a legal secretary for 42 years at Daugherty and Daugherty Law Firm in Huntington, WV, a former member of Highlawn Baptist Church in Huntington and a proud member of Corinth Baptist Church after moving to Richmond Hill, GA in 2013. She enjoyed her time tending to her yard and reading her bible but above all, she loved spending her days with her great-grandson, Oliver.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Clifford "Buck" Midkiff; her daughter-in-law, Linda Midkiff; sisters, Sylvia Midkiff, Delores May, Janet Leach and brother, James Fulks.

She is survived by her son, John Mark Midkiff; a grandson, Christopher Mark Midkiff (Chasta Pilon); a great-grandson, Oliver Hawkins Midkiff; two sisters, Rose Ekers and Alice Thomas; a brother-in-law, Roy L. Midkiff; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to deeply express their gratitude for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Keith Cobb and the Georgia Hospice Care team.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2025 at Corinth Baptist Church with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rob Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
