Elmer Glenn Hickey, age 72, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at University Hospital in August, GA.

Glenn was born in Fort Worth, TX. He lived for many years in Savannah before moving to North Augusta, SC 11 years ago.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Glenn was a member of the VFW Post 7331 where he was a past Sr. Vice Commander.  He was a member of the American Legion.  Glenn was a retired pipe fitter for Local Union 188.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great friend to many.  He was a kind hearted soul and had a great sense of humor.  He was a huge Texan.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hickey; his daughters, Melany Luyster, Glenda Williams, April Hickey, and Cheryl Jerez; his sons, Paul Bird, Glen Howard Hickey, and David Rodney Hagan; two sisters, Joy Smith and Sharon Ray; his brother-in-arms, Mike Wright; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3-5pm, Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm, Monday, March 12, 2018 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with burial with military honors in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
