Ellen Jackson Taylor, age 74, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Ellen was born in Marion, SC. She has lived the last 3 years in Richmond Hill but spent most of her life in Marion.  She was a retired Teacher's aide for the Marion County Board of Education.

She was an active member of Ariel Baptist Church in Marion where she taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School.  Ellen loved reading her Bible, arts and crafts, and painting.  More than anything else, she loved her grandchildren.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor and her sister Debbie Philips

She is survived by her son, Kevin Taylor (Kelly); her daughter, Mindy Howell (Jody); two brothers, Wayne Jackson (Barbara) and David Jackson (Dora); 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Florence National Cemetery in Florence, SC.
