Ellen Lynette (Johnson) Harden, 78, of Darien for the past 53 years, departed this life for her heavenly home on December 3, 2021.

Ellen was born on May 15, 1943 in Lyons, GA.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Erma Johnson; her husband of 57 years Kenneth Harden; her son Kenneth Harden Jr. (Joker); siblings, Sue Ann, Juanita, Eddie, and William.

Ellen is survived by her "daughter"/niece, Bonnie (Larry) Hall; brothers, Robert (Sandra) Johnson, Kenny (Melinda) Johnson, Henry Johnson, and Odell Johnson; nieces, nephews, and other family members including brother-in-law's and sister-in-law's; along with many friends.

She worked alongside her husband on their shrimp boat "Miss Kathy" until retirement. She loved to hunt, fish, and garden. As a homemaker, she loved cooking for family and friends. Everyone loved her cooking! Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.

Ellen is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone.

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8

At Mrs. Harden's request, there will be no services. The family will receive friends Saturday, 11 Dec. from 11am till 5pm at Mrs. Ellen's residence.
