Eleanor Wilson Carson, of Richmond Hill, GA, died on April 12, 2024 at The Suites at Station Exchange.  She was born on December 19, 1917 in Savannah, Georgia to Lucille Ruth Wilson Williams and Oliver Gregory Wilson.   She was married for 65 years to Gordon Cubbedge Carson, Jr.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Gregory Wilson.

She is survived by their 6 children:  Gordon C. Carson III, Carol Carson McKinley (John), William C. Carson (Jeanne), Emily Carson Carnes (Joey), Eleanor Carson Green (Braxton), May Carson Zack, (Jim); 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.  Eleanor was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Eleanor was the longest standing member of Independent Presbyterian Church of Savannah, GA, where she and her husband were Sunday School teachers and youth group leaders for many years.  She was a member of the I.P.C. Tuesday Morning Circle a Women's Bible Study.  During her earlier years, she was a member of the Froebel Circle and most recently a member of the Richmond Hill Garden Club.  She dedicated her life as a stay-at-home Mom to her 6 children.

The family will have a private memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Independent Presbyterian Church, Georgia Hospice Care, or the Alzheimer's Association.
