Edward "Eddie" Afoa Nomura entered eternal life on January 5, 2025, in Savannah, GA, after a two-year
long battle with lung cancer. He carried unwavering faith in God throughout his entire life. His faith was
a pillar of his strength throughout his cancer journey.

Eddie was born May 14, 1968, in Utulei, American Samoa to Mereane Tautolo (Agaoleatu Charlie
Tautolo) and Moati'a Patrick Nomura. He graduated from Marist High School in 1986 and joined the U.S.
Army. While in the Army, he was a Material Control and Accounting Specialist and served in the 70th
Engineering Battalion for eight years.

After his time in the Army, he earned his degree from Pikes Peak Community College and became a
dental hygienist. For 18 years, he worked at the Fort Stewart, GA dental clinic where his work could be
described as meticulous; eventually, finding his way to the dental lab where his skills flourished.

His defining characteristic was mental fortitude which was evident in all facets of his life. Many
remember that he practiced immense self-discipline in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He was a
devoted, loving father and never missed an opportunity to share his wisdom and edification.

Edward is survived by his daughters Fiona (Brent), Marissa, and Julianne, and granddaughters, Sofia and
Cora. In addition, Eddie will be fondly remembered by his mother, Mereane, sisters, Tina (Steve) and
Dolores, brothers, Mutia Patrick (Brandi), Morin (Marla), Masao (Malia), and Loi along with many nieces,
nephews, loved ones and friends.
