Edward Eugene "Cross Cut" Clark, age 82, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023.

Gene was born in Ways Station which is now Richmond Hill.  He has lived in Richmond Hill his whole life.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.

Gene worked for Hunt Wesson Oil Company for over 14 years.  He was a dump truck driver for various companies until 2012.  He loved to ride motorcycles and he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.  Gene loved his family, children, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Louise Clark; two sons, Baby Clark and Kevin Clark; a sister, Judith O'Neill; and a brother, James Clark.

Gene is survived by his wife, Emily Clark of Richmond Hill; eight children, Cindy Burton (Herbert) of Lyons, Wanda Deen (Mark) of Vidalia, Tony Clark of Richmond Hill, Waylon Clark of Arizona, Traci Rothwell (Joe) of Tucker, Lamar Beasley (Diane) of Fleming, Sarah Ruehling (George) of Richmond Hill, and Beverly Brown (Calvin) of Guyton; two sisters, Jeannette Crowley of Richmond Hill and Voncile Sills (Dennis) of Alpharetta; two brothers, Julian Clark (Margie) of Richmond Hill and Rufus Clark (Gail) of Richmond Hill; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors.
