Donna Mae Dupont Kruger, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, after a long illness. Born in Chicago, IL, she was the only child of Dorothy and Joseph Dupont.

Donna trained in nursing at Lutheran General Hospital School of Nursing in Park Ridge, IL, and studied social work at George Williams College in Downers Grove, IL. Donna was a woman of deep faith who felt called to care for people in need. This led her to a fulfilling career as a hospice nurse and eventually to serve as Executive Director of Fox Valley Hospice in Geneva, IL.

Donna enjoyed travel, music and theatre performances, attending church, volunteering in the community, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by Willem, her devoted husband of 55 years, their loving son Michael and his wife Kay, and by many, many cherished friends both near and far.

A memorial service will be held at Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church in Richmond Hill on August 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
