Midway- Donald R. Logsdon of Midway, GA., passed away quietly at age 86. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Logsdon, later by his second wife, Pearl Logsdon, and a son, Steven Logsdon and a daughter, Patsy Carron.
Don is survived by two sons and a daughter and their spouses, Mike and Cindy Logsdon of Oneonta, Al., and Tony and Pam Logsdon of Jacksonville, Al., and Teresa and Don Thornton of Savannah. He was particularly proud of his eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Born in Springfield, Ohio, Don retired from both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service. He spent almost 60 years in South Georgia. He had a special affinity to both the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. While he would not let it be officially known, his true love was for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Don was a very good man. He was a loving husband and a devoted and dedicated father. He taught truth and honor and the importance of always trying to exceed expectations. Don now rests with the two women he loved so deeply. He is missed, but will never be forgotten.

The Donald Logsdon family will conduct an inurnment ceremony at Hillcrest Abbey West in Savannah on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
