Domenico Luca, Sr., age 81, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Encompass Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Domenico was born in Italy.  He lived for over 20 years in Calhoun, GA before moving to Savannah 2 1/2 years ago.  He was a retired machinist and carpenter with Local 20 Carpenters Union in New York.

He loved being an organic farmer in Calhoun and watching the seeds he planted grow.  Domenico liked making wine and pasta and he enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Giovanna Luca; two sons, Vincent Luca (Kira) and Domenico Luca, Jr. (Andi); two sisters, Pina Schirripa and Giulia Schirripa; his brother, Felicia Luca (Resina); and his two grandchildren, Michael Luca and Emilia Luca.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., February 10, 2024 at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Richmond Hill.
