Dina Anderson Penn, age 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Augusta, Georgia, Dina spent many years in North Augusta before making Richmond Hill her home for the past 23 years.

She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a registered nurse. Following a distinguished career in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital, she retired after many years of faithful service to her patients and colleagues.

Dina embraced life with enthusiasm and grace. She was an avid gardener who found joy in cultivating beautiful flowers and landscapes. She loved sailing, deep-sea fishing, and spending time on the golf course, where she excelled as a golfer.

As the wife of a military officer, she treasured the opportunity to travel throughout the United States with her husband, creating countless memories together. Above all of her accomplishments, however, Dina's greatest pride and most cherished role was being a mother. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her son, Charlie, and her love and guidance will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marilyn Anderson.

Dina leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her husband of 40 years, Dr. Charles "Chuck" Penn; her children, Dr. Eli Penn (Elizabeth), Jamie Penn, and Charlie Penn; her father, Roy Andrew Anderson; her brothers, Dane Andrew Anderson (Kate) and Darryl Alan Anderson (Leah); her sister, Denise Anderson Allmond (Don); and her beloved grandchildren, Sophia Penn, Logan Penn, Wyatt Penn, Sam Penn, Sky Walker, Ava Gray Walker, and Daniel Walker.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.

For family and friends unable to attend the service in Richmond Hill, a visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in the Camellia Room at the Lookaway Inn in North Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Dina's memory.
