Diane Eileen Rose, age 57, born on January 9, 1968, passed away on December 16, 2025.

Diane lived in Richmond Hill for the past year and was formerly from Los Gatos, California. She was the former owner and chef of Crimson Restaurant in Los Gatos and spent many years working as a chef throughout the Bay Area at several Michelin Star Restaurants.

Outside of the kitchen, Diane was an avid gardener. She especially loved monarch butterflies and devoted herself to raising and nurturing them. Her dedication and care for butterflies were recognized by a local newspaper, something she was very proud of.

Diane is survived by her ex-husband, Eric Tosh, her son, Charlie Rose-Tosh; her brother, Charles Rose Jr.; and her sisters, Cheryl Halverson (Tim), Lori Rose, and Michelle Jorgensen (Bob).

She will be remembered for her creativity, her love of nature, and the care she gave to those and everything around her.
