Deokon Song, age 73, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Deokon was born in South Korea.  She has lived in Richmond Hill for the past 7 years.  She and her husband served as missionaries for many years in Mexico and Paraguay.

She was awarded a certificate of honor in education from the Prime Minster of South Korea.  Deokon enjoyed knitting and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Daeseok Song; two sons, Joon Daniel Song (Jung-In Kim) and Hoon Andre Song (Min-Jung Yoo); 4 grandchildren, Abraham, Jesuspersona, Samuel and Cristoper; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery.
